Paling Yards wind farm

Location: NSW Central Tablelands, 30 kilometers north of Taralga and 60 kilometers south of Oberon. The whole site and associated infrastructure will be within the Oberon City Council LGA.
Number of turbines: Up to 47 wind turbines
Total installed capacity: Up to approximately 290MW
Turbines blade tip height: Up to 240 meters
Connection: A new on-site collector substation, a ~7km 132kV transmission line and a 500kV switching station to connect the windfarm to the existing Mt Piper – Bannaby TransGrid’s 500KV transmission line

About the project

Paling Yards wind farm is a proposed wind farm in the NSW Central Tablelands. It is located approximately 30 kilometres north of Taralga and 60 kilometres south of Oberon and. To the west is Abercrombie River National Park and to the east is Mount Werong State Forest. The proposed project site covers an area of approximately 4,600 hectares, where the current land use is primarily grazing of sheep and cattle including agricultural activities.

Our company

Global Power Generation Australia (GPGA) is the Australian subsidiary of Global Power Generation (GPG), the international generation arm of Naturgy Group (Naturgy). GPG was created in 2014, in order to bring together the international power generation assets and business for the company outside Europe, with the participation of the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA).
